Attractively furnished and equipped to a very good standard the cottages offer an ideal base for a relaxing holiday or for touring the surrounding area. Cheddar Gorge, Blagdon Lake – with trout fishing and a wealth of wildlife – and golf are all nearby. The elegant city of Bath and the cathedral city of Wells are within an easy drive and Weston-super-Mare’s many attractions and sandy beach are just 7 miles. Churchill, 4 miles, offers many activities including a dry ski slope, sports centre and horse riding. Bristol Airport 15 minutes. Village shop and pub 2 miles.

Two bedrooms. Set apart from the other cottages, overlooking a picturesque millpond, with a safe enclosed walled patio, this former miller's cottage is attached to the owners home. Well fitted kitchen/dining room. Very comfortable, beamed sitting room with inglenook and wood burner. First floor: Double bedroom. Twin bedded room. Bathroom/WC (shower over bath).

With its lovely beaches beautiful countryside and fascinating history, dating back to the times of the Ancient Britons, Somerset makes a wonderful cottage holiday destination. And the best way to experience the county’s many attractions is from your base in one of our holiday cottages in Somerset. Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
